Extra Lives

You can earn a 1-Up if you jump high enough and land on the very top of flagpole at the stage’s end.

Warp Zone Through Cannons

You can warp to another world when you enter the cannon area by taking secret exits. To warp, simply drop down into large cannon and off you go.

Here is the lists of warp zones :

World 5 Warp #1: Take secret exit from the World 1 Tower.

World 5 Warp #2: Take secret exit from Stage 2-A.

World 6 Warp: Take secret exit from the World 3 Ghost House.

World 7 Warp: Take secret exit from the World 4 Ghost House.

World 8 Warp: Take secret exit from the World 5 Ghost House.

Save Anywhere

You can save your game anywhere after you beat the game.

Secret Challenge Mode

Beat the game first. When you play again, just press LRLRXXYY while paused on the map to enter secret challenge mode. This code will make you unable to go back to an area that has scrolled off the screen while playing a level.

Worlds Unlockable

World 4 : Beat the boss in last castle of World 2 as Mini Mario.

World 7 : Beat the boss in last castle of World 5 as Mini Mario.

Play as Luigi

Choose one of your save game files with the A button while pressing L and R buttons at the select a file screen. That’s it. You can now play as Luigi in single player mode instead of Mario.

Original Mario Bros Fireworks and Theme

You can get this features when you beat a level with a time left of x11, x22, x33 etc.

Unlimited Toad-House Items

Just clear every level including lettered bonus levels to get unlimited Toad-House items.

Special BG Patterns

To get this special, just beat the game once.

Mushroom Houses

You will get different mushroom houses (the point with an arrow) at the start of each world depends on the time you get on a stage.

Orange Mushroom house appears if you get x77, x88, x99 on the timer, which lets you gain a Mega Mushroom into your inventory, thus overriding anything in it.

Green Mushroom house appears if you get x44, x55, x66 on the timer, which is a 1-Up minigame.

Red Mushroom house appears if you get x11, x22, x33 on the timer which generates items.
