PlayStation 1 is a legend. It was the first video game console that reached 100 million units sold. There are so many quality PlayStation 1 games with a lot of their fans.

These PlayStation 1 games may have not heard again because it was replaced by new quality games from the latest generation of consoles.

However, there are people who still have those PlayStation 1 games either for personal collection or resale.

Below will be described how the price offered for ten best-selling PlayStation 1 games today.

One of the PlayStation 1 games that took 5 years to develop and spawned over 10 spin-offs and sequels. It’s a racing simulator developed by Polyphony Digital, shipping a total of 10.85 million copies worldwide and scoring 95% in average.

I guess this was the first PlayStation 1 games that shocked other countries outside Japan in positive way of course. It’s the first Final Fantasy series that used fully 3D modeled characters against prerendered backgrounds that shipping a total of 9.8 million copies worldwide. The story was great, the characters were awesome, the graphics were fantastic, and the music was fabulous. The secret “treasures” in this game were abundance. Who could forget Cloud, Barret, Tifa, Aerith, or Sephiroth ?

So, it’s no surprise if this game is very expensive today. The black label is extremely rare and costs you $1,400 to get it.

As of March 31, 2003, this game has sold 8.15 million copies worldwide and placed 4th position in best-selling PlayStation 1 games.

5. Tomb Raider II

Another popular and quality game among PlayStation 1 games available. Tomb Raider II thus far has sold at least 8 million copies worldwide. This game is the sequel to Tomb Raider. In 2009 this game became available on the PlayStation Network.

Metal Gear Solid was developed by Konami in 1998. The game has sold at least7 million copies worldwide, scoring an average of 94, and considered as the game that made stealth genre so popular. It used voice acting in numerous codec sequences and cinematic cutscenes rendered with in-game graphics and engine. The game was so popular that it had numerous spin-offs, prequels, and sequels. One of the best-selling PlayStation 1 games ever made.

7. Tomb Raider

It’s an action adventure game released in 1996 that has sold at least 7 million copies worldwide. Starred by Lara Croft who later crowned by The Guinness Book of World Records as the Most Successful Human Videogame Heroine in 2006. Placed 7th in best-selling PlayStation 1 games.

8. Crash Bandicoot

The game has sold more than 6.8 million copies worldwide. Although the game’s lack of innovation as a platform game but still get positive reviews from critics who praised the its controls, visual style, and graphics. Later on the game become one of best selling PlayStation video games of all time.

9. Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped

This game was released in 1998 and had sales of 5.7 million copies worldwide as of July 9, 2002. Just like the original, this game received positive reviews from major critics for high quality in several categories, including gameplay, audio, and graphics.

The game brought new features to the series, such as Mognet, a revamped skill system and equipment, and the Active Time Event. Xbox 360: Not many models are made for the Xbox 360 since its launch. The latest Xbox 360 model is the S model with hard drive capacity of 4 GB and 250 GB. For non-bundled package, the 4 GB priced $249 while the 250 GB sell for $324. New model Xbox 360 is slimmer and uses less power. The console runs whisper quiet, no more fan or drive noise. So you will not be disturbed when playing games or watching movies.

Xbox 360: Xbox LIVE is an digital media delivery service and online multiplayer gaming operated and created by Microsoft. It charges users a fee to play multiplayer gaming. There are two version, Silver membership and Gold membership. With Silver membership you can get HD movies and game demos. But if you want to play multiplayer games, you have to upgrade your membership to Gold.
